5 BEST business tools of 2025 for small businesses (my RIDE OR DIES!)

Running a small business is no joke. You’re wearing 15 hats at once and somehow there’s always more to do- that’s where the right tools come in! If you’re like me, you’ve tortured yourself researching endless opinions and cross-comparing tools. It’s like being at a delicious dessert buffet where everything looks good, but you have limited room left and don’t know which dessert will hurt your tummy later 😅 So if you’re looking for tools that save you time, are easy to use (like actually easy to use), and help alleviate the little icks and the manual work that take up WAY too much of your limited time, here are the 5 BEST business tools of 2025 for small businesses!

I struggled in 2024 with trying to find ways to simplify. I had a few crappy- but popular- tools I was slogging through using and honestly they weren’t worth it. In 2025, I’m DONE with tools that give me tummy aches. As an entrepreneur, time and peace are my most precious currency.

So- here are the 5 tools that every small business owner should have in 2025!

5 BEST business tools of 2025 for small businesses

1. Flodesk

This is my #1 tool because email marketing is one the most effective marketing tactics with the best ROI. There is NOTHING more important to me in 2025 than growing my email list, and Flodesk makes it simple with the smallest possible learning curve. I hate social media and put the bare minimum into it only for credibility sake, but EMAIL LISTS are where people are primed to buy instead of wasting my time sending content out into the void.

Not only does it make it quick and easy to create beautifully designed emails (seriously, they look like they belong in a magazine), but it makes setting up and automating things like welcome sequences or sales funnels intuitive.,

Unlike other platforms, Flodesk has a flat fee—no scary price jumps as your email list grows. And the design templates are chef’s kiss. Get 50% off your first year of Flodesk here!

2. Pinterest

If you’ve been ignoring Pinterest, you’re leaving money on the table. It’s more than a platform for wedding inspiration—it’s a traffic-driving MACHINE for small businesses.

Pinterest is a visual search engine and is especially effective if you’re trying to reach a female audience. You create pins that link to your website, blog, or products, helping you reach people actively looking for what you offer.

Pinterest content lasts forever. A pin you post today can drive traffic months and years later, unlike Instagram or TikTok posts that fade in hours. Pinterest is the only social media channel I use religiously and actually invest valuable time and money into strategically.

3. Showit

Your website is your business’s first and most important impression. I know I might sound biased because I’m a web designer, but it’s true. One second’s look at a sh*tty website and I’m out.

Showit has incredible design flexibility, affordable hosting, and most importantly, is EASY for you to use and maintain a website with as your business scales or changes—no coding required.

Showit gives you total creative control, so your site feels uniquely you. Plus, it integrates with WordPress for blogging, so you get the best of both worlds: creative freedom and SEO power!

4. Google Search Console

If you’ve got a website, you need Google Search Console in your corner. It’s free, powerful, and gives you a direct line to influence what Google thinks about your site! If you have a website and aren’t using Google Search Console (or at a minimum, submitting your site map), then you’re absolutely shooting yourself in the foot.

Google Search Console helps you track how your site is performing on Google, find SEO issues, and see what keywords are driving traffic. This is CRITICAL because you can look and see your best traffic drivers and then create more blog content on that topic, instead of blindly writing blogs on topics that nobody cares to click on! (literally heading to GSC after this post so I can submit this new blog to be indexed in Google and see if it’s a popular topic that adds value to my readers!).

It’s free, and the data is straight from the source—Google itself. It shows you exactly what’s working (and what’s not) so you can make informed decisions.

5. ChatGPT

Running a business often means juggling endless to-do lists, but ChatGPT is like having an extra brain to help you out. I know a lot of people are scared of AI, but it’s really helpful and when used correctly and helps me a lot when I need an expert opinion to help me improve business processes, weigh heavy decisions, or brainstorm ideas and strategies.

The best part of each of these? You don’t need to be a tech genius to use any of them. Start with one or two, get comfortable, and add more as your business grows. Remember, the right tools aren’t just about working smarter—they’re about making your business work for you.
